Can't delete speed dials in iOS 10, "remove' and "edit" buttons both covered by address bar

Kinda ridiculous, I press down on a speed dial icon, the "remove" & "edit" menus appear, as soon as I let my finger off the icon, boom they get covered by the address bar. Surely there must be some way around this??
