Opera Mini 13 beta 1 for Android
Hi,
It’s time for a new beta. We are delighted to let you try out Opera 13 beta. In this version, we've added Opera's signature red color to the address bar and search categories are available directly on the start page.
Also, there's some good news for those of you who download files. We have added more options in the settings and made some under-the-hood improvements. More changes will come in future versions, as well.

I cannot get Opera Mini 8 to check Yahoo Mail on my Nokia 5310 anymore
It might be a problem on Yahoo's end (on purpose or by accident), but I can no longer access Yahoo Mail. I can check everything else Yahoo-related (e.g., weather, sports, contacts) but not Yahoo Mail. AFAIK there isn't an adblock software on my phone that I've installed, and while I've had problems with Yahoo Mail before, it's always been temporary and I've never had problem just accessing the URL. I can't even access it via Yahoo.com even though the icon shows that I have two email messages. I can access it from home (where I DO have Adblock software installed) just fine; I'm only have trouble connecting to Yahoo Mail on my Nokia, via either Opera Mini 4.5 or Opera 8. I borrowed my friend's iPhone to access it directly via internet and there is no issue. Can anybody help? Does anybody else have this problem?? Thank you very much for reading and any light you can shed on the situation or a solution, if one exists. Haven't been able to get in touch with Yahoo tech support so if anyone has an email address for Yahoo Mail support it will be appreciated. Thanks!!

HTTP 302 redirect caching
Hello,
I'm developing a site where I am using the common Post/Redirect/Get pattern (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post/Redirect/Get) when submitting forms. In my particular case this is items for a todo list - so I'm POSTing to say https://site.com/group, processing that request server side adding the new item to a database, and then returning a 302 response (http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec10.html#sec10.3.3) to indicate the browser should redirect (GET) to https://site.com/group which then displays a list of all the todos submitted to the db. This works on Opera Mini, but on both Opera Mini on Android (v12) and on the microemulator on Mac OSX (I haven't tested on other versions), the resulting page shows the list of todos without the new item, until I refresh the page manually at which point the list returned does include the new item.
I'm assuming what's happening here is that the page being shown after the redirect is the version which has been cached on Opera's proxy server previous to the POST request. If this is the case, is there a way I can indicate to the proxy server that it should display a fresh version of the page from my server rather than the cached version? I have also tried the more correct 303 status code (http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec10.html#sec10.3.4) but the same thing happens - although the spec says for this:
'The 303 response MUST NOT be cached, but the response to the second (redirected) request might be cacheable'
although I have found no references to how this redirected request can me marked as non-cacheable. Incidentally all other browsers seem not to cache this redirected request at all.

cannot access Yahoo Mail
For Android Opera Mini users experiencing problems accessing Yahoo Mail:
1) The Opera Mini team is apparently aware of the problem and working on a solution (see: https://forums.opera.com/discussion/comment/15231330)
2) A temporary fix is to:
a. Upgrade to / install the 'new Opera Mini' from the Play Store (version 12.0.1987.xxxxx)
b. change 'Extreme' savings mode to 'High' savings mode, by clicking on the red "O" Opera icon, and clicking on the 'savings mode' next to the graph indicating your data savings from Opera.
c. If that doesn't work, and if you still have access to the setting for 'single column mode', remove the checkmark from that.
This worked for me. I hope it helps any of you with the same problem.

Possible bug: using CSS rem units for sizing images within flexbox layout
Hello,
I think there maybe a bug in Opera Mini when an image is sized using rem units within a flexbox layout. I've put a sample up here:

The expected result is that the Opera logo should be the same dimensions as the box (as is the case in other browsers - including regular Opera). However if you visit the page in Opera Mini, then the image is not resized.
Is there somewhere I can file a bug report?

Please Add These Features in Opera Mini
Opera Mini Feature Requests:-
Search Bar : In search bar we can't write any bangla language font by using any phonetic bangla keyboard. But Old opera mini can. Add the system that can write bangla by any phonetic keyboard in search bar. Also we can't manage default search engine. Please add the feature where we can manage our search engine as our choice in the search bar. And bring back separate search bar as old opera mini. Downloading : Though high mode optimized for large file downloading but we browse in extreme mode all time. So, please fix large file download failed problem in Extreme mode. Fix download resume problem. Add muti threads downloading (minimum 9-12 parts muti thread downloading system per downloading files). Add renaming features while downloading. Upgrade the server which is stands for file downloading. Browsing : Though Opera Mini said that it can compress upto 90% data. I run a test for 12 different websites. While Opera Mini shows 78% data saving whereas Opera Mini's nearest competitor UC Browser shows 87% data saving. So, Please upgrade the data compressing level in more higher level. Also browsing speed is little bit slow. Upgrade the browsing speed & upgrade the server for speedy browsing. Other : Opera Mini can't able to skip the ad from adf.ly in extreme mode shorten link while all other browsers can. Also upgrade & optimize the High saving mode for more stability. Also Please add "Cloud Boost" & "Hardware Acceleration" feature in Opera Mini as like UC Browser.

Opera doesn't work on Gear S - Getting "Could not start the application"
Getting "Could not start the application" on Gear S when I try to launch Opera Mini. I did a search on the forum and it looks like somebody posted the same issue back in 2014 (Gear S and Note 4) but didn't get any answer. So i am hoping to be luckier :-)
Tried restarting, uninstalling, re-installing but no luck. This is a brand new Gear S and the Opera wasn't installed before on it.
Please help!!!

Opera Mini 11 for iOS released!
Hello everyone!
We have just released Opera Mini 11 for iOS.
This time with our brand-new logo!
We also did some shuffling around and a star has moved into the address field. From here you can easily add your Speed Dial entries, save pages for offline or store them in bookmarks.
This also allowed us to move the night mode switch onto the main menu.
Other news is that you should start seeing some hints for features in the UI. This is of course mostly for new users - you can disable them in settings, but maybe there is a feature or two that you actually didn’t know about?
We also improved the Opera Turbo compression mode significantly by adding new, advanced compression technologies. I personally see a jump in compression from 50% to 60% with this improvement. More than that - since you are loading less data - you will also see an improvement in page-loading times. We will roll out the server updates for this during the day.
And, finally, a special note to our patient beta testers. This time we were not allowed to release the build externally, because of the new logo. But, stay tuned - we have a build coming for you soon with some features that didn’t make it into this release!

I did so many bug report for downloading problem in Opera Mini. Sometimes i got reply from Opera Quality QA team.They said they are working to fix the bug & make improvements.After so many updates & updates now its Opera Mini beta 13 but those following bugs still not fixed yet.And there is no such improvements. Actually I'm sick & tired to do continuously do bug report.Opera also said that they're working on it.But it all just a lie.What to say???

my opera doesn't download
my opera mini doesn't download no matter how small the file is. 'download fail' is what it says every now and then. pls what do i do?

Feedback on Opera Classic/Mini
I've been using Opera Classic on my Android phone and I want to say a couple of things.
First, Opera Classic is your best browser for mobile devices and you should continue to develop it. It makes browsing with one hand easy and it looks nice. The regular Opera browser looks lame and annoying, I find the design of Classic/Mini much better. It is clear, definitive and not overly-simplified. I have 2 suggestions though to improve the browser:
- In the speed menu there is one block with a plus in it. This icon is taking up unnecessary space and I suggest you move it under the Manage-menu or better yet, add another menu under the Opera-icon main menu. Here's a picture to show you what I mean:

When I click the Opera icon and then Quit, the program asks whether I am sure and I have to click Yes or No. This isn't really necessary since Opera -> Quit already takes 2 clicks and is enough to guarantee there won't be any accidental exits.
No other complaints or suggestions. I hope you continue to develop the Classic/Mini browser for Android since your regular browser is quite frankly bad.

Opera Mini not connect to internet
Opera Mini for Android is not connected to internet problem Servers Opera, the problem happens in Opera 7.6.4, Opera Mini 12 and Mini Opera 13 Beta 2.
The problem also occurs in Opera Browser for Windows 8.1 when Turbo Mode is activated the connection is lost.
I'm using Opera for over 7 years ago and it makes me uncomfortable having to use another browser, please resolve this connection error

Opera Mini 12 for Android
The Opera Mini for Android team is happy to announce the release of Opera Mini 12. This version includes the new Opera icon and usability improvements.
Some visual changes:
- Updated the context menu (long-press menu) design.
- Added a button to directly open downloads when they've finished.
- Added a button that allows you to switch to a newly-opened background tab.
- For those of you that use Facebook notifications, you can now see the sender's profile photo.

Opera Mini 13 beta 2 for Android
Hi,
It's time for another beta. In this version, we added concurrent downloads to allow you to customize the number of simultaneous downloads. Also, we have grouped finished downloads together to help free up the notification area.
And, there's some good news for those of you who use the high data-savings mode: we've fixed some password-manager problems for Android versions 4.4 and higher. Now, it's possible to save your log-in credentials.
We noticed some instability in our Facebook notifications feature, which should be fixed in this version. But, let us know if you experience any further trouble with it.
