Is there any way to change the search engines in the new native opera mini? In the old one a kludge was possible by changing the URL in the manage search engines option. But there's no such option in the new one. I don't want to be forced to use Google and am still using the old version due to this problem.

Hello, I cannot visit http://m.bdcricteam.com with Opera Mini for Android (Opera Mini on iOS works fine). It always says "Could not locate remote server" while all other browsers work fine. Can anyone give me a clue what's wrong and how to solve this?

The future of Opera Mini
A while ago Opera updated the Opera Mini servers with a newer version of the Presto rendering engine. If I remember it right, it previously used the Presto version also used in Opera 11, and the new version uses the version of Presto that Opera 12 used.
But you can't use that version forever, after a while the compatibility will so bad, that no one can't use Opera mini anymore. So my question is, will the development Opera Mini end, or are you going to work more on the discontinued Presto engine? Or are you going to make a new one based on Chromium?

pls change Saved Pages view back to be list of titles again
Hi, Just now I upgraded Opera Mini at my android phone to version 9.01829.92366 I have many saved pages at my Opera Mini before that upgrade, they re important for me and sometime I need to read again some of my saved pages by choosing the titles from the list view.
But after upgraded, the view of the saved pages is no longer a list of the titles, but only icons without long words of the titles, only short. And it makes me difficult to choose which one should to read.
Would you please to give the option to change the view of the saved pages list, to be a list of titles again, similar with the older version of Opera Mini, not icons view like now.

Opera Mini fails to instal on Gear S
Hi, I have loaded Opera Mini on my Gear S. The first time I ran it, it showed an "installing" progress bar that got to about 15% then Opera shut down. Now if I open it, it shows the bar still stuck at 15% for a few seconds, then shuts down.
Any help would be gratefully accepted.

Mini won't launch on iOS
I'm having a weird problem that started just this weekend. I have no idea why.
I'm running the latest Mini on an iPhone 4s with the latest iOS. My phone is otherwise behaving normally.
When I launch Mini from its icon, it shows a blank, white Mini screen for 10 to 20 seconds, then dumps me back to the iPhone home screen. The recent apps screen does show the small Mini screen with the home icons. If I select that one, it shows the Mini start page with my favorites then dumps me back to the iphone home screen.
This problem persists through rebooting my phone. The only change in my phone in the last week were routine updates of dropbox, youtube, thescore, and hbogo.
Does anyone have suggestions on what's happening and what I can do about it?

Mini for Android keeps trying to call home
Just loaded mini 9 and when I launch it to change the preferences it only wants to connect to the Net and will not allow me to access settings. Is this the norm? Why does it need to call home before I configure it to "my" specs. What is it calling home for? Chrome is working just fine and never reaches out on its own so I'm curious as to why opera is playing by different rules.

iOS App Extension of Opera Mini didn't work!
I use Opera Mini ver.10.0.1（10.0.1.90729）and iOS 8.3 on iPhone 5c. I can't open the webpage by App Extension (Share Extension) of Opera Mini! I tapped this button on Safari, the icon of Opera Mini was showed. But after that, Opera Mini didn't start! And Opera Mini didn't replace from Safari. And Opera Mini didn't open this webpage!

Does not play nice with AOL
Using the latest versions of Opera Mini on my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 5. I've been using Opera Mini for years since it was a Java version on my old iDEN Nextel phone back even before it was available in English, as well as a longtime Opera browser user paying for it since version 4.0 (go Opera!). However I am often having a problem when trying to browse on AOL.com with data savings enabled in Opera Turbo mode. I often get the message "Forbidden. You don't have permission to access /_cqr/login on this server." I think this has something to do with either cookies or the different combinations of IP addresses Mini routes traffic through, or a combination of both. Has anyone else experienced this? How can we work toward a fix together? It doesn't happen all the time, but it happens maybe 49% of the time and usually when clicking on a link after I'm at the main AOL page or when going from one page to another.
As a side note, I also occasionally see the error displayed in what I'm assuming is an iframe portion of the site that would normally display and advertisement if this helps at all to figure out the issue (tried attaching a screenshot but I guess you can't anymore). I know this issue is with America Online since it doesn't happen on other sites but I think the route cause is the cookie/IP issue.

Are Opera Mini servers located in Nairobi?
Hello, I received a message on my gmail account telling me my account had been logged into on a new device using Opera Mini, and the location was Nairobi, Kenya (I am based in the UK). After a panic in which I changed my password, I realised I had logged into my account on opera mini at around the time and maybe the location was a result of the compression service opera mini provides. I tried logging in again and the log updated with another entry from Nairobi so I'm pretty sure it is me, though the device listed is wrong (it says samsung galaxy ace, which I used to use but now I use a newer samsung phone so it may not have realised the difference). But I want to be absolutely certain as otherwise I will have to change all the login details for services associated with that account.
Should opera mini be providing Kenya as my location? I thought the servers would be Norway based but Kenya would make sence since Opera Mini is popular in developing countries. Another thought is if some malware has hijacked Opera Mini and is rerouting traffic via a dummy server in Kenya.
I did a search and found another user with a similar problem, but no definite answer as to whether there are servers in Kenya.

Opera Mini 8 beta 3 for Windows Phone

Today we are updating our Opera Mini for Windows Phone. Here is what happened lately in our team:

- [WP-935] Wrong suggestions order
- [WP-944] Support downloads with reachability detection
- [WP-946] File not found while removing bookmark causes crash
- [WP-960] Crash when launching the browser with 2-tab session
- [WP-971] Opera stops decoding tiles and eventually freezes permanently
- [WP-975] Address bar should be visible during loading
- [WP-1030] Lower part of address bar not responding to touch
- [WP-1032] Text selection does not work properly on HiDPI
- [WP-1036] Crash when opening image
- [WP-1062] Speed dial page miraculously disappears
So, to sum up, you should now have a bit bigger viewport as both address and action bar will hide. You can also now install Opera on SD card. Text selection was greatly improved, there are some minor UI tweaks and we fiddled a bit with Tamil font, but you need to say how it ended up. We also need your opinion on everything else :) As always, please leave your findings here or report them via 'report issue' option in settings.
As for known issues... there is a crash when you access 3rd party page and scrolling performance might gone a bit wrong on some devices when bars are hiding. Please remember, this product is still a beta.

Opera mini 5 on win Ce 6
Hi, please, please help. I am trying to upgrade my opera min browser 5 on windows ce 6.0 to a later version ( it runs on a BMW navigation system). This version is very slow and I would like to upgrade it to a later version.
Can you pls tell me:
A) what version I can upgrade to (on windows ce 6)? B) how do I upgrade it (from the browser or copied via an sd card into windows ce 6)?

Opera Mini for Windows Phone/Windows 10 Mobile Wishlist
Hi everyone!
I'd like to thank and congrats the Opera Mini devs for releasing the stable version of Opera Mini for Windows Phone. But also I'd like to add a wishlist for more features and some things that needs enhancing. And for everyone else please join me :)
When I press the back button, it always goes back to the previous webpage but what I actually wanted to do was to exit the app! I know that I could just long-press the back button and exit. But how about an exit button?
Improve sliding finger-over-screen to go back and forward because it feels a bit sluggish. I have a 640 XL.
Last thing is really more of should've done wish! You guys should've released the stable version separately since all the WinPhan idiots have given you 1 star although they knew from the beginning that it's a BETA app! The overall rating is 2 stars and half!
