Question about savings modes

In recent versions of mini, there are two modes High and Extreme, the extreme mode is what I assume how previous versions of mini worked with the pages being processed on Opera's servers. In High mode however the pages are processed on the phone (with resources compressed), this is like Opera for Android in Turbo mode, but the latter has a much larger size than mini, so I'm curious how does this work ? (My guess is that Mini uses the 'engine/browser' in the Android API, is this right ?)

P.S. Thanks to the amazing Opera Mini team, the new mini is mostly bug-free and you even solved some site specific issues I was having. You guys are amazing.

P.P.S Using the "preview" option while making a post with mini on this forum is pretty awkward and it discards the text (thankfully I copied it) and I don't feel like making a new topic for this issue.

Opera Mini 14 for Android

The Opera Mini for Android team is happy to announce the release of Opera Mini 14.

In this version, we've added a QR-code reader in the search and address bar. Tap it and you can use your device's camera to scan QR codes. You can use your camera for easier sharing, too. Now, you can take pictures directly in Opera Mini and quickly share them on your favorite social-network sites.

Also, we’ve added a language selector in the settings menu, and you can add custom search engines per category of search (in classic layout). In addition to the new features, we fixed some download-related problems, so file downloading will be more stable in this version.

Please give Opera Mini a spin and leave a comment with any feedback you may have for us.

Opera link gone, how do i backup bookmarks

Hey guys, so I have an old Nokia n8 that used opera and its got a bunch of bookmarks that I wish to backup. With opera link dead how can I transfer them to my PC? One of my Pc's is already running opera but I do not want to lose the tabs I have open on it. It is version Opera Mobile 11.00.1449 (so I think maybe before mini?)

How can I add search engines on Opera Mini 12.0.1987.97260?

Well, maybe somebody have already answered this. But I'm having trouble adding some specific search engines to my browser. I tried adding YouTube (m.youtube.com) and Dictionary.com search engines to my browser and was successful. But I tried to add YIFY Torrents website (yts.ag) as one of the search engines and there wasn't even an "Add Search Engine" option over there. What can I do about it? Anything helpful is really appreciated. Are there any back-doors to do the same?

I have one blog on Google blogger which is http://allrounderlab.blogspot.com but when I sign in from opera mini with android. Opera mini browser said - not supported browser upgrade to supported browser.

Now, it’s time to announce Opera Mini 15 beta 1. In this version, the start page news is more accessible, since we’ve moved the toolbar to the bottom. Another change you’ll find in the new beta is fast page scrolling. The fast-scrolling button, to top or bottom, has been combined with the scroller.

For those of you who frequently use the high data-savings mode, there’s more news for you: better compression for HTTPS pages. You can also select video quality in the settings for the high data-savings mode for even better data savings. If you come across any problems with loading HTTPS sites or videos, please let us know.

Opera generating recursive /undefined URLs

I'm seeing a series of recursive /undefined URLs from Opera in my weblog. It seems they build up indefinitely until the URL becomes too long for php-fpm to grok. It's with numerous versions of Opera as you can see here (is UCBrowser a repackaged Opera?)

Presto version looks consistent. Perhaps a known bug? Access log snippets below (IP addresses removed to protect the innocent). Any thoughts what might be going on here?

I'll leave it here. browser opera mini 7 for symbian

Description: I cant posting messages in social network. Its dissappearing after typing. Links doesnt works. You pressed the link and nothing happens. Empty page or the same page without changes after "loading" Steps to reproduce: 1. Press some link 2. Wait 3. ??? 4. PROFIT! Nothig happend.

Actual result: no loading for the link

Expected result: oprning new page

I got such message - "Connection failed - Unable to connect. Please review your network setting". Such message appears immediately when I try to enter any facebook page. At least any attempt of log in in such facebook lead to it. This situation remains about last month. In the past it could happened about one time a day or two. So reloading the emulator helped. Here it happens from the start. And no manipulations with cookie options did not helped.

Hallo Dear All's First sorry 4 post this topic here, As i'm login here after few years & now everything is changed here no room for symbian or opera 12 users, As i'm dowanloding latest opera 12, operamini & oper mini next from m.opera.com with mobile browser, but now opera 12 & opera mini next not working proper in my Nokia E71 Every time it's show network problem in any site I can open gmail, facebook or any site first page only when i clicking next than it's show network problem error page when the i'm changing my 3g sim & also trying with Wifi But no any changes, yes no problems with Opera Mini ver, pls if you closing support 4 symbian users than pls also stop the downloadin from m.oera.com for this ver. Or pls solve the problems
