css codes being ignored

I've found that certain CSS codes are simply ignored when loading websites. Such as moving text, moving images. I've been using the extreme saving mode, because high saving mode is really slow. So I don't know if high mode loads these, or not. Also, while trying to play videos, it still prompts me to choose which app to use for playing videos. So, I can't play videos, or mp3 files from within the browser. What's up with all this? (This is about opera mini 15 beta)

Opera Mini 16 beta 1 for Android

Hi!

Today we released the first beta for Opera Mini version 16.

In this version, the stop button is finally back to where it wants to be. Ever since we released the new “white” Opera Mini, many of you requested that the stop button appear in the bottom navigation bar, as it was in the old “black” Opera Mini. Now, it’s located where the forward button is and it allows you to better navigate with one hand.

For those of you on Lollipop and higher, we improved saving files to an SD card using Android’s Storage Access Framework. We’ve been improving the download manager more and more, so your feedback and suggestions are always welcome.

Lastly, we moved most of the extreme data-savings mode related settings to the main settings menu. If you want to customize extreme data-savings related browsing, go to settings and tap either “Page layout” or “Advanced”.

I have a couple ongoing issues that show up in Mini (v 13.0.1.100754) using my iphone on a particular site I admin.

Now that the NCAA basketball season is over, I have time to focus on this... My site is forums.dukebasketballreport.com, a board system running vBulletin (v 4.2.2, PL 3).

We have a mobile skin that works well in every browser but Mini in mini mode. It does work well in Mini in Turbo mode. It used to work properly - we built the mobile skin and thoroughly tested it to work with Mini, but I don't recall when it stopped working. I prefer the Mini mode when I'm in a crowded/mobile-congested basketball arena - fewer dropped connections.

The two specific problems I have are:

1) Page anchors aren't always honored. This usually happens on a longer page - one with several long posts, and an anchor to the "first new" post (being the first new/unread-by-me post since I last opened that thread) towards the bottom. Mini seems to try to jump before the page is fully loaded, and ends up somewhere above my "first new" post. I have to scroll down and try to find my place. It's a fairly active board, with several hundred new posts a day, and keeping an eye on things is much more difficult without reliable "first new" page anchors.

2) When creating a new post or editing an existing post, the text box won't show properly. The page focus stays too high on the page, and the text box either is only partially visible or completely invisible off the bottom. I scroll down, and Mini scrolls me back up. This happens every time.

I reported both as bugs several versions ago, but they both are still around.

JQuery Mobile / Opera Mini - Uncaught exception: ReferenceError: Undefined variable: filters

I have a mobile site built with JQuery mobile (and of course JQuery).

I am seeing this error for Opera Mini users (various versions)

Uncaught exception: ReferenceError: Undefined variable: filters

Looking at the JQuery source I see 'filters' is referenced many times, and it is not in use with my own code, so can only assume there is some issue with Opera Mini.

I have tried it out myself with these versions (basically all current as of today):

JQuery 1.11.1 JQuery Mobile 1.4.5 Opera Mini/15.0.2125

Not seeing this error with any other browsers.

I posted this on StackOverflow - click here - have not got any answers, but two other have the same issue and both say it started on 31 March, but I have seen it since the 23rd

When trying to view a certain friend's facebook profile an error message pops up and I am never able to view this friend's facebook profile page on the LG Extravert 2 Verizon Cell Phone Model Number LGVN280. I hope someone can help me to fix this issue.

As the video boosting option helps me to reduce data usage when watching videos,I got addicted in buffering videos rather than downloading these...But opera mini lack the option play video online.. So.. Please opera developers consider a option to play videos online in downloading menu

Zoom is Too Sensitive

I use an iPhone on iOS 8.3 and really enjoy using Opera Mini. However when I try to read online books via vertical scrolling, I often inadvertently zoom in which is horrible for reading flow. I'm a fast reader on a small screen and I'm pretty sure the reason it zooms is because it takes my scrolling taps to be zooming flicks. Is there a way to adjust for this besides slowing down?

Cannot connect to GCE (Google Compute Engine) servers with Opera Mini

Hello guys, we are hosting some websites on both GCE (Google Compute Engine) and Amazon EC2.

We are able to browse our websites hosted on Amazon from Opera Mini, but we are unable to connect to our websites hosted on GCE, no matter if it is HTTP/HTTPS, even if it is a small HTML file, the connection tends to "TIME OUT" all the time.

Some other facts: 1. There is no access record in webserver logs. 2. This is happening on Opera Mini Android and Windows Phone, therefore pointing towards the network layer. 3. When tracking network communication (using tcptrack) an IP address "SIMILAR" to those I've found in Opera Mini Proxy list is trying to communicate with our web server - State: ESTABLISHED, but website is not served anyway.

Please help, if you have any idea. If you need any more info, I will try to provide it asap.

Opera Mini Bookmarks Disappeared!

I'm currently running the old Opera Mini (Version 7.6) off my Moto E (Android 5.1) phone. Everything was normal when I went to bed last night, but when I woke up this morning, I found that all my bookmarks were simply GONE! I have no idea what happened to them or how to get them back.

I tried downloading the new Opera Mini onto my phone, but every time I open it, it stalls on the "Installing Opera Mini" screen, then boots me back to my home screen, saying that "Unfortunately, Opera Mini has stopped." Checking the old Opera Mini app through my settings shows that the amount of Data on it is the same as when I saw it before my bookmarks disappeared. And when I try to sign in to Opera Link on the old Opera Mini browser (thinking that it will reboot my bookmarks back onto my phone), it warns that my current bookmarks will be deleted... despite the fact that literally no bookmarks are showing up! All this has lead me to believe that the information to the bookmarks is still on my phone; I'm just unable to access it. So my question is: Is there any way to restore my bookmarks onto my Opera Mini app? Should I try adding a bookmark onto the old app, then open the new one, or would that just delete the bookmarks entirely? Or should I try moving Opera Mini to my SD card and back?

Just for the record, my phone isn't rooted... Should I try rooting it to get my bookmarks back?

How can I export my Opera Mini (for Android) bookmarks?

How can I export my Opera Mini (for Android) bookmarks? Alternatively, how can I access them from my desktop? I do not have Opera on my desktop because I'm running Mac OS 10.6 and Opera 28 isn't compatible with it, so the built in synchronization feature that Opera offers doesn't work. I used to have Opera 12.16, but its Link feature also didn't work. I merely need to access those bookmarks, but from my desktop (i.e. Firefox browser by logging into my Opera account). Or export them if possible. Please help me, it's absurd that I've been trying for too many hours to find a workaround on such a simple task.
