Hi, My phone has very limited internal storage, but Opera Mini is using 24.72MB. The app itself is only 3.20MB, but data is using 21.53MB. Why does it need to use so much space?

Per website settings for data settings mode
If it's possible I think per site settings for data savings mode would be very useful, for example I could set Facebook, Amazon and some other sites to always open in high data saving mode while all other websites open in extreme mode.

Opera Mini contains ad itself ??
I'm using both Opera Mini 16 & Opera Mini beta 17 update 4. I've the app named 'Lucky Patcher'. It shows 'Google Ad found' for both Opera Mini. And Lucky Patcher has custom patch to block the google ads but its not working though. By the way, What the hell?? There is a new feature in Opera Mini to block ads but why Opera Mini package contains Google ads itself ?

Opera Mini is not ad free!
Hello.
This is my first post.
I have an Android phone, and was drawn towards Opera because of its native ad blocking.
However, in Opera, pop-ups are blocked but ads are not.
So I switched to Mini, or actually Mini-Beta.
But Opera Mini is anything but ad free.
As soon as you load it, the mini version of Discover is there.
And EVERY THIRD OR FOURTH item are not articles at all. They are Advertisements for Google Play.
....sigh....
I've not had much luck finding the magic keyword to use in an Internet search to solve this.
Can someone here clue me in on how to make Opera Mini truly Ad Free?

Opera VPN not blocking ads..
I just installed Opera VPN on an iPad and although the VPN seems to be working it's not blocking any ads no matter what browser I use including Opera Mini on a lot of websites despite have the 'BLOCK ADS' component enabled. I am having to use a additional 3rd party ad blocker to do its job for it.
How to fix this?

DuckDuckGo removed?
I recently installed Opera Mini for Iphone and I found that the search engine options also included DuckDuckGo. However, from the past 2-3 days I see that the option is no longer there. Has it been taken down? If yes, any leads as to why?
If not, do you know any way to restore that?

Need opera version for wince
my grandson has a LanYu netbook with the following specs: OS: Windows CE 6.0 cpu: WM 8505 300mhz (ARM processor) display: 7" TFT 800x480 memory: DDR II 128mb
The version I currently have loaded is 'operamini5-wm-armv4.exe. The problem is, when Opera opens up, the page is larger than the screen. Supposedly on the 'O' in the upper right hand corner of the page, you can click on it to get to settings, display the toolbar, etc., however the 'O' is halfway off the page and I can't get to it. I've tried every key combination I can think of to reduce the screen so I can get it set up, to no avail. 1) is there a way to get the toolbar to display to get to settings on this? 2) if not, is there another version of Opera that may work on this netbook? I was trying out Opera because IE6 that came on the netbook, throws up a ton of certificate errors I can't get rid of, and other browsers I've tried just don't work.

Opera Mini without Google Play Services
I've a low configured handset with low ram capacity. And Google Play Services (GPS) drain my battery charge. That's why I disabled the gps. But without it Opera Mini can't able to notify me from facebook. The 'facebook notification' feature is vanished from Opera Mini settings after disable the Play Service. So, it would be better if Opera Mini developer's will take any steps to work "Facebook Notification" feature without the Google Play Services. Thanks.

3GP not working...
Before a month I had opera mini and 3gp was working fine, then I decided to format my phone, after I formatted it, I reinstalled opera mini, but now when I try to view a 3GP video it says: Network is not available now. Please check network settings and try later.
I tried reinstalling opera mini but still doesn't work.

the Next page same page bug is still not fixed after 8 years
when you sometimes tap on a link 80% of the time the page does what it seems like is a page load but its just the same as before, this has been an issue for as long as i have used opera mini (including the new one now)
the only way you can force it to load the link that is tapped on is to Tap and Hold and open as new tab (as once its doing the loop showing same page it is permanently stuck on that page)
as Opera mini is very good at loading pages with very little data and strips all active scripts of a page so in turn makes battery life longer (as the page is static) and very good data savings
but have to say the Speed that Opera for android is very fast compared to Chrome

Opera Mini 16 for Android
The Opera Mini for Android team is happy to announce the release of Opera Mini 16.
In this version, we’ve included an option to block ads. If you want to enable the feature, you can do that in the settings under “Savings mode”. By enabling this feature, you will be saving browsing data, as well. Ads will be removed by our servers, so you will receive pages without extra advertising data.
Another new addition is a new page-loading animations feature. As you go to a new URL, its page thumbnail or address will pulsate in the webpage area while loading the page.
You will also notice the stop button is finally back where it wants to be. Now, it’s located where the forward button is and it allows you to better navigate with one hand.

Opera Mini Full Screen disabled but still hiding status bar
I have disabled full screen mode in Opera Mini but the status bar still disappears and I have to swipe to get it back. Is there any way to prevent the status bar from disappearing?
