Vertical borders in tables (and other elements) don't work

Why vertical borders don't work on Opera Mini? It behaves really strange. Borders work only in the initial view, like here on the Opera page itself:

You can see the vertical line, but if you scroll down...

The vertical line was not generated below. You can also see the full table, where there are no vertical borders. Is there a way around it? I noticed if you use some tags it does work, like H2.

I use Opera for Android 7.6.40234, but I've managed to replicate it on many others including Microemulator.

Opera Mobile on Symbian S60 doesn't show some websites!

Hello,

I have been using my good old Nokia E63 feature phone (Symbian S60 3rd OS) for some years now, and most of the time I have used Opera Mini for web browsing, which has worked so far reasonably well. Now I wanted to try out Opera Mobile (latest version 12.0.0.2258), which is a little slow on this old device but seems to render some websites better than Opera Mini.

To my surprise, however, some quite common websites do not work at all with Opera Mobile! It takes a long time to load and finally an error message appears, saying that the address is currently not reachable (I cannot tell the exact English message as I am using the German version), not matter if I switch Opera Turbo on or off. WLAN or UMTS connection make no difference either.

Examples are www.wikipedia.org and www.twitter.com. Of course these websites work with other browsers on the same device (internal Nokia browser, Opera Mini, UC Browser). At first I thought that there is some problem with https connections, but the site of my bank is working correctly.

Any idea what's going wrong here with Opera Mobile?

Request to Develop Opera Mini Browser for Firefox OS

Firefox OS is a new smartphone OS by Mozilla. It's really a great new smartphone OS and is continuing to grow more and more but sometimes I feel it lacks something and that's Opera Mini!

Opera Mini is the most loved mobile browser I've ever known, mainly because of it's smart data compressing techniques and fast rendering of web pages, the browser that comes with Firefox OS is not that great if you are on a slow network or trying to load a heavy page, but Opera Mini is the way to go.

Any chances of developers of Opera to build a browser for Firefox OS ? That'd be great!

the Next page same page bug is still not fixed after 8 years

when you sometimes tap on a link 80% of the time the page does what it seems like is a page load but its just the same as before, this has been an issue for as long as i have used opera mini (including the new one now)

the only way you can force it to load the link that is tapped on is to Tap and Hold and open as new tab (as once its doing the loop showing same page it is permanently stuck on that page)

as Opera mini is very good at loading pages with very little data and strips all active scripts of a page so in turn makes battery life longer (as the page is static) and very good data savings

but have to say the Speed that Opera for android is very fast compared to Chrome

Background App Refresh

I have Opera on my iPhone (8.4.1) and the settings are confusing me. I have Background App Refresh set to off for all applications. However, when I go to the settings for Opera Mini, the options for Background App Refresh are greyed out (un-selectable) and it is locked in the green/on position. Are the Opera Mini settings trumping the global settings for the phone?

Opera Mini 11 beta 1 for Android

Hi all,

We just released the first beta of Opera Mini 11 with some nice improvements to the user interface. We have made it a bit easier for you to find your bookmarks and saved pages. Instead of having them mixed up with Speed Dial, there are now two fixed entries above the Speed Dial.

The saved pages are now also listed in a full screen list that shows both the name and the address of the saved page. This should make it much easier to find the right page if there are many saved pages from the same site.

The tab gallery is another thing that has gotten a well deserved facelift. It now shows bigger thumbnails, and it has a clear separation between private and normal tabs so it’s easier to find any open private tabs.

There are also tiny miniatures of all open tabs below the normal thumbnails, which can be used for fast scrolling through all the open tabs. This can be very helpful when you have a lot of tabs open and want to quickly find that particular tab you are looking for.

Opera Mini for Windows Phone does not save passwords

Hello.

I've been trying lots of browsers for windows phone, problem is always the same, iexplorer, uc browser, maxton, all of them does not allow to make the font size bigger or they do it wrong (only parts of the text, it looks weird)

And here comes opera mini, it does this feature PERFECT! But it does not save passwords!!! Take a forum, I click in the check to keep me logged, opera asks to keep the password saved, I say 'yes'. I close the tab and re-open it and it works, but as soon as I close opera mini and reopen it the paswrod has been forgotten :( And this happes with all sites I tried...

Please, how can I fox this? It is quite annoying especially because the forums I use requiere me to be logged in. A part of that detail opera mini wins all the other browsers I tried, it is perfect as I said.

Hi Folks, I am playing a quiz on opera mini which comes out as a new tab. It is working fine with chrome (Android) and safari (I Phone). But when using same on the opera mini nothing happens. I have checked settings of the opera mini on my phone (android), i have set new tabs 'Open in Foreground' loaders seems to be working but nothing happens. I have also tried new tabs 'Open in Background'. I wonder if it supports the functionality based on new tabs. Please help !!! Opera Mini's built in Download Manager Needs Improvement

In webpage browsing opera mini is so great but when it comes to downloading. Opera Mini is the worst of all browser in the world. From many http or https webpage/webserver (like usercloud.com or dailyupload.net and so on) opera mini can not start download over 15 MB files and If start though it always failed at the start point. And now a days many other browser (like UC) they can download any files more speedy by splitting multi thread/multi connection. But opera mini has lack of this feature. Also opera mini's downloading speed is too slow under 3G Network plan. I just send too many reports, suggestions, bug report to opera mini team but they are totally careless. Can anybody tell me what should I do now? When browsing I use opera mini but when I have to download anything I've to use other browser. That's very very much Annoying.

What is wrong with High/Turbo mode, both w Opera Mini Beta and Opera?

Hello,

I have filed a bug report and have already posted in OM beta thread but to no avail.

It makes me think I am the only one having this issue, when I am running android Jelly Bean, 4.2.2 (a very popular os).

What is wrong w the High/Turbo mode in OM beta and also in the Opera Browser?

I thought it was my home network or 2g speeds however I have come to realize it definitely is not.

The problem has been evident since the most recent OM beta release.

Very frustrating because it is so intermittant (it does not work more than it does work).

Symptoms: all websites hang until error, or websites hang until "unable to connect".

This has occurred on multiple networks.

In addition to this issue, there have been random issues w not remembering website data and login information as others have been also posting.

These issues make it frustrating to use Opera. Please at least let me know if this is random, servers are being updated, or if this is a definite bug that is being worked on.

I dont like posting multiple times without Opera feedback, it seems like I am junking up the discussion boards.

opera mini and opera dont save login info

Hi this has gone crazy for me,i am using samsung galaxy s5 ,android 5.0 lollipop

Now whenever i login to any site for example gmail n facebook now once i logined and when i close that tab and click on my speeddial again to open that site and i have to login again it ask me to login and i tried latest opera mini beta as well then i went to install opera browser not mini it has same problem this thing is coming since 2 days back i have uninstall n installed it so many times specially i use only opera mini no other browsers now this is pain in the ass when u have to login again n again when u visit it again that site

Emails no reply yet i dont know why opera guys destroyed this this opera v7.0 never had this problems

Also download says sometimes waiting for connection when other browser android deafult download everything so help me out

Opera Mini's downloading Problem Still not Fixed

I'm trying to download a video from facebook but opera mini can not able to start download and stuck at the downloading start point. But opera mini can able to download any file less than 15 MB from facebook. There has so many https & http (both) website where opera mini can't able to start download while all other web browsers are full ok to download the same following files. It's a very serious problem. Please fix all of these bugs and release a new bug free version of opera mini.

opera mini old layout

i really dont like that new style of opera i need old version working on my device i cant deal with that new version i like old layout where refresh and and stop are down and pages all show on one time so i can easily see the whole pages without scrolling up and down if u dont want to make lite version of opera and contine in your policy add an option of changing to old layout iam one of millions of ppl dont use turbo or skyfire video comporessing server and for normal opera of course chrome is better so why do u insistue of losing the essence of original opera why r u also blocking ppl from reviewing on app store

Iran filtered - How to download Opera?

Unfortunately m.opera.com is blocked in Iran and we can not download new opera version for Java ,because Java does not support VPN or other anti filter,what do you suggest me? Thanks

Hello,

I used to be able to go to this site http://flexpvc.com

and I can on any desktop with chrome, firefox or opera on a PC or the built in browser for my android phone but with Opera mini I can no longer get there. It says the security thing is messed up.

Can someone tell me why I can't get there?

Downloading Bug Has Not Fixed Yet

Opera Mini can not able to download over 15 MB files from many http and https (both) websites. Here is just one link https://userscloud.com/ea1yd7lcf4c3 where opera mini can't able to start the download while all other browsers are full ok to download the same following file. Also opera mini can't just start the download by clicking download button from this website. To download any files from this web I've to use autogeneratelink.com to generate the direct download link. But all other browsers there no need to use another website to generate a link. They are full ok to download & here is another link up.media1fire.com/3ysl4s6zgrwi where opera mini can't start the download but other browsers can. The webserver is full ok & I use 3G network connection. While other browser able to download the same following file but opera mini just stuck at the downloading start point and can't able to download after all. So, I request to the Opera Mini Developers Team Please, fix this download issue as soon as possible.

Annoying website rendering issue on android

On some sites like this one the sidemenu of the website is shown when page is loaded and covers the screen from left to almost fully right and down to bottom of page, like that side drawer that android apps use when swiping from left screen edge. Makes the site useless cause can't read it and won't dissappear by tapping on things or reloading page. On regular Opera it can be removed by simply tapping the menu button in the upper left corner of the page. Noticed it on many different websites.
